Indications/Uses
Duro-Tuss Chesty Cough Loz Relief of productive cough & treatment of minor infections of the mouth & throat. Duro-Tuss Chesty Cough Plus Nasal Decongestant Oral Liqd Relief of chesty cough; clears blocked nose. Duro-Tuss Chesty DUO Cough Liqd/Duro-Tuss Chesty DUO Cough Tab Thins excess mucus; clears heavy chest congestion.
Dosage/Direction for Use
Duro-Tuss Chesty Cough Loz Slowly dissolve loz in the mouth, 1 at a time. Adult & childn >12 yr 2 loz every 8 hr as required. Max: 6 loz/day. Childn 6-12 yr 1 loz every 8 hr as required. Max: 3 loz/day. Duro-Tuss Chesty Cough Plus Nasal Decongestant Oral LiqdAdult & childn >12 yr 15 mL every 6 hr as required. Max of qds. Childn 6-12 yr 7.5 mL every 6 hr as required. Max of qds. Duro-Tuss Chesty DUO Cough LiqdAdult & childn >12 yr 10 mL every 4-6 hr as required. Max of qds. Childn 6-12 yr 5 mL every 4-6 hr as required. Max of qds. Duro-Tuss Chesty DUO Cough TabAdult & childn >12 yr 1 tab every 4-6 hr as required. Max: 4 tab/day.
Administration
May be taken with or without food.
Special Precautions
Reports of hypersensitivity reactions, anaphylactic reactions & severe skin reactions w/ bromhexine. Discontinue immediately in case of symptoms or signs of a progressive skin rash. Duro-Tuss Chesty Cough Plus Nasal Decongestant Oral Liqd/Duro-Tuss Chesty DUO Cough Liqd Contains sorbitol; may have laxative effect or cause diarrhea. Not recommended for childn <6 yr. Duro-Tuss Chesty Cough Loz Contains isomalt; may have laxative effect or cause diarrhea. Do not use in childn <6 yr. Duro-Tuss Chesty Cough Plus Nasal Decongestant Oral Liqd May cause sleeplessness if taken up to several hr before bedtime. Duro-Tuss Chesty DUO Cough Liqd Contains saccharin Na.
